Its June and little by little 2 months have passed
since I said good bye to the Danish school system, at least for a period of
time. I have been based in LapuLapu City, which more or less is to be found in
the midle of the Philippines.
I have had a nice time and I have been busy with everything else but school work
and stuff like that.
But sooner or later the real life hits back.
The Danish schools are just about to close down, while its quite different in
this part of the world.
The schools here say welcome back from the vacation June 5th. The summer is over
and the rainy season is about to start. That very fact does not have much
influence on the temperatures. Its the same.
But it gets wet.

I go back to school too.
I go to Puerto Galera in Mindoro, where I will be a guest teacher for about a
week.
Getting to Puerto Galera is no that simple.
First I go to Manila by plane, and when I get there I hire a taxi to Batangas,
which is 100 km from Manila. They dont have special buses leaving from the air
port, and my safety is not too good on the local bus routes, so it's taxi for me.
When I get to Batangas, the sharks will be waiting for me. They are the porters,
who so much want to carry my luggage and make sure I get to the right ticket
office.
For free?
He he, I dont think so.
I will ask my driver to help me through this purgatory.
I go to Puerto Galera by boat. Its a very nice trip which lasts about 1 hour.
The nature there is awesome.
When I leave the boat in Puerto Galera its he same show again with insistent
tricycle driver, but in a smaller scale.
Puerto Galera is not a big city.
I go to my friends' place, where I am going to stay
while I am here, by tricycle.
Its not far.
Maybe 3-4 km and then I am ready for school.

I am abolutely sure that the daily life in Puerto Galera High School in no way
has any resemblance to a Danish School, but thats exactly what makes it
interesting.
