Tåsinge to Vordingborg:123 km km. Total 812 km.
When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

I was on the way to Copenhagen, where
I was going to meet my two favourite daughters and my favourite granddaughter,
Little a.
The closer I got to them, the more I speeded up.
And this day's ride was 123 km which was veeeeery long.
Furthermore a heatwave had hit Denmark, so I had to deal with temperatures
between 30 and 35 degr. C.
When I was out there I did not know it was that hot, but I inhaled liter after
liter of water.
To get from Tåsinge to Lolland there is a ferry. (Spodsbjerg - Taars).
It takes only about 45 min. I love these ferry rides. The fare was not too bad,
I have forgotten how much.
On the ferry I spotted a couple on a bike ride, but we never communicated.
Lolland and Falster are not the most exciting islands in the world, but I was
more or less forced to go that way.
My first plan was to take the train from Nyborg to Korsør, but they dont accept
bike trailers on the train. My next plan was to hitchhike and get a ride, but maybe I
would have to stand there for hours waiting for a ride, and maybe I would never
get a one.
If you search google maps you will learn that the distance from Nyborg to Korsør for a car is 27 km, while it is 219 km for a bike.
So thats why I visited those islands :-)

To get to Sjælland, you have to use
Storstrømsbroen.
It's ok, but not as nice as the bridge from Svendborg.
I got my groceries in Vordingborg, and headed north looking for a secret camp
site.
It was not very easy to find, but finally I found a suitable place.
Actually with a great view.
