Skagen is always worth a visit. It can be summer or winter, but if you have a choice, maybe you should choose winter.
I had a wonderful weather that day. I was born and bred in Vendsyssel, and a bike ride here is always special for me.
I had now finished one Denmark tour, and I had met very few bike riders, And not one single time did I have company in the primitive camps I visited.
But it was different when got near Skagen. Numerous bike riders every where. But not any long distance bike riders like myself. I guess they stayed in hotels or rented houses in Denmark and just wanted to enjoy the scenic landscape in the most successful way: From a bike saddle.

I had lacked company in my primitive camps, but here I was not alone.
Hans J from Aabenraa was there of course. He was the one who invited me, and it is his apartment. (Hoejengran.dk). His brother Arne was there too. I have known Arne for some time now, and we have become good friends, Hans Joergen's girl friend Joy was there too.I was there around 2 pm and we spent the rest of the day taking a look at beautiful Skagen.
