Hald to Flamsted:75 km km. Total 1315 km.

My next stop was Flamsted about 15 km south of Aalborg. I have a very good friend there, Torben. I have not known Torben a very long time, maybe 2 or 3 years. Lately we spent a vacation in eachothers company, and we had a good time then.
He lives alone on a big farm, so he has plenty of space,
I was quite interesting for me to be in this area again. This part of Himmerland used to be my back yard, and in the days when I was a famous bike rider, I rode thousands of kilometers here.
About 2 km from Torbens house there is a very steep hill. I have beaten that hill many times before on training trips, fun rides and competition.
I had decided that I would not push my bike up that hill. I had done about 70 km when I met it and I was rather tired. And after all I did bring a lot of luggage.
My plan was to say to Torben, when I came to Torben's house: "I just did the Flamsted Hill". And If I pushed I could not saying that. And telling a lie about that was oput of the question.
I will tell you it was a tough climb. Several times I was close to a total stop. I could hear my own troubled breathing, but I wanted to make it all the way.
Which I did!
I think I spend more than 10 minutes recovering. I could not come to Torbens place breathing heavily like that.
I knocked the door when I came there, and before he was able to say anything, I informed him, that I had just finished the Flamsted Hill.
Nice.
We had a nice day there. And as far as I remember, my very good friend Dorte came in the evening, because the 3 of us had something we needed to talk about,
