Time to hit the road again. Actually I had an invitation to a dinner party in Skagen. My friend Hans J. from Aabenraa has a timeshare flat there. Skagen is one of the most wonderful places is Denmark, and I was looking forward to going there.
But first I had a few km to cover.
I had already arranged my accommodation. It was in a place called Kallede. I had never heard that name before. It was 11 km from Kalundborg. Next day I was going to take a ferry from there to Aarhus, so it was very convenient.
It turned out to be a terrible start of the day.
I started out in a good mood and nice weather, but after a few km it started to rain.
Long distance bicycle riders are good at looking at clouds. The clouds I could see did not look promising. They were black and evil. Very ready to spoil my day.
I stood for a while in a shed. Then I wondered: How wet is it possible to get? When you are soaking wet, that's it. You cannot get more wet.
I decided to get soaking wet!
It took me about 10 minutes.
The bike doesn't like rain either. The chain wheel will complain and the chain will make strange sounds. If you translate the sounds from chain-language to English it is "Oil, pleeeeeease".
I had never been in that area before, but I want to go there on a sunny day, because its beautiful. A lot of rolling hills.
I rode 70 km in heavy rain, and I felt somewhat sorry for myself.

But now to the nice part of the day.
I got to my new home in dry weather.
I talked to the wife and she showed me to the garden, which was one of the most beautiful gardens I have even seen. There were even a plum tree with ripe plums and she said I could eat all I wanted.
I put up my camp and soon the husband arrived. He was just as nice as his wife.
A little later they asked me if I wanted to joint them for dinner.
I was delighted.
Here I have to mention that the price for an accommodation like that is 10 kr. per night.
While we were eating I asked them: "What about your profit. Now you invite me to a very nice dinner, and we even have red wine. How can you make a profit on my stay here?"
"We dont care about profit", they said. "Its nice to meet people in this way, and many interesting people have stayed at our lawn".
No doubt I will return to Kaldede.
